What are the first steps in purchasing a
home?
Call us for a pre-qualification to discuss your price range.
Meet with your realtor and determine if you should be
pre-approved prior to looking at homes.
What is a pre-qualification?
A pre-qualification is typically done over the phone, taking
only a few minutes. An originator will ask you questions about
your credit, income, and assets to determine the price range
that you can afford. A letter of opinion is immediately given to
you (the borrower) and if you choose, to your realtor. A letter
of opinion allows you to shop for a home with confidence.
What is a pre-approval?
A pre-approval is a written commitment obtained by Capstone
Mortgage from a lender based on your credit, income, and assets.
Although we always have the ability to move quickly, this
process typically takes 24 to 72 hours, and it requires
documentation to support the information stated on your loan
application. The pre-approval demonstrates that you are
financially capable of purchasing the home. In many instances,
the seller and realtor will consider you a preferred buyer! |
